After visiting eight hostels and interviewing 123 women, mostly from North America and Europe, Lee came to the conclusion that many had been drawn to the country by what she calls "the Netflix effect."

So these women think what they see in movies and television is reality, lolz.

Korean culture is very much xenophobic. They'll have a hard time being accepted by the families of Korean men even if they're able to land one (I can safely assume these women aren't attractive).

In her eyes, Korean men are "gentlemen, polite, charming, romantic, fairytale-like, chivalrous, respectful." She said it also helps that Korean men dress well and groom themselves.
"(English men in comparison) are half drunk, holding a beer, holding a dead fish," she said -- a reference to what she said was the prevalence of fishing pictures in British male dating app profiles.

Lolz.

Lolz.

You have to wonder. How many of these girls are Karen-daughter K-Pop fans?

Play something on TV often enough and women mold themselves accordingly.

They romanticize them, based on what? Their beauty regimes? They say they look like "gentlemen", but that seems like a cope, they seem to want someone to play post-coital hair and makeup with. Kinda reminiscent of those chicks that would head to Southern California in the late 80's, from their podunk towns, go bang some hair metal musician on the Sunset Strip and blowdry his hair after. Same energy, just faggier and more expensive now.

So, these women became interested in Korean guys by just watching Netflix movies/series? :picard1:
