Please non-Turkish people answer.
“A country with Turks will never develop,” said an Apricity member. What is the reason of this ?

I think Turkey/Turkiye is a nice and interesting country, with beautiful landscapes and a rich history from the Hittites to the Turks, all the Turkishs I've talked to have been nice to me so I have nothing against them.

Turkey is a potential Islamic Caliphate (Arabs and Iranians have dominated the Muslim world but are stuck with awful leadership now). It just needs a few years of effective authoritarian and non-secular dictatorship to emerge as an Islamic world superpower that could change the secular/globohomo spiral into global Caliphate (otherwise you will be extinct since Kurdish population has already doubled, your Syrian refugee population put simply, do not respect you, they abuse your women and hospitality, these hordes were actually kept in check by the Ottoman empire).

Turks are brown people, nobody considers you European and you're seen as hostile invaders in Europe. There is no political will to get Turkey inside EU either (all they want is visa-free travel anyway).

The areas of Europe that were under Ottoman occupation are shitholes nowadays. They have produced backward shitholes, and has stifled progress ever since. There's a reason why Tsar Nicholas I of Russia described the Ottoman empire the Sick Man of Europe.

Even at its peak the Ottoman empire could not able to compete with Western European powers, and that is not even counting the colonies.

Too little fat, only retarded bodybuilders or anorexic women really eat it on a daily basis. Not bad for Christmas or New Year's eve though, with some rice and a sauce it's cool. As any normal person I prefer beef though.

Turkish football teams are by far the most useless. Only Fenerbahçe with Alex and Roberto Carlos of all people had a good European campaign. When the country was rich is was the nursing home for elderly players.

Turkey is a country that has taken the worst features of the east and the west. Instead of taking the technology and order of the western countries, it is taking the SJW and exhibitionist clothing fashion. It takes nonsense from Arab culture, such as male circumcision. There is no place for liberalism in Islam anyway, they live in an absurd order. Apart from that, they lead a poor life, after working hard all their life, they go home and consume tasteless vitamin-free foods such as lentils and bulgur and pray to God. Although people are poor, they see drinking water as a luxury. Most of the men are Incel, while poverty is a big problem on its own, they cannot have a proper relationship with the opposite sex. By law, women's declaration is taken as basis, men are treated as second class citizens. In addition, men are conscripted into the military. The culture of lynching is very common. When they see a man arguing with a woman, as a society, they lynch him or even wound him.

They become slaves of rich Arabs but exclude poor Arabs. They worship money. Nobody talks about humanity, their only concern is money..

Turkey, under the leadership of Erdogan, has started to return to its Ottoman roots and has made huge progress economically (better than many countries in Europe, and would have been even better if Kurdistan was independent, because they are dragging down the economy), and has become again a (emerging) global power.

I am extremely proud to be Muslim and to be one of the heir of the Ottoman civilization, which I consider it has risen the flag of Islam the highest among all Muslim empires. I am not only glad to see a strong Turkey, but also very proud of any Turkish (or in general Muslim) achievements, whatever the topic or discipline. Turkey is like my second home, like a big brother country, where I feel the most comfortable (after my own region ofc).

The reason of the situation in Kurdistan is the policy of Turkish state in the last 5-6 decades. If a country has big socioeconomic gap like in Turkey, that doesn't count only for Kurdish region but as well for a lot of Turkish cities, then it is clearly a state failure. And we aren't even talking about the oppressions and crimes against the people in Kurdistan, which happened until early 2000s, otherwise Turks wouldnt deal with terrorism until now.

Iraqi Kurdistan is the only stable and well working place in Iraq, a Kurdish independence wouldnt benefit Turkey but Kurdish people.

I admire Turkey for its Ottoman past, not for its autistic nationalism where the notions of Kurdishness, Kurds, and Kurdistan are taboo or which is denying Armenian genocides, Pontian and Anatolian Greeks persecutions, ... I fully support an independent Kurdistan, not only because it is the rights of Kurds, but also because it would relief Turkey from a huge weight

Kurdish independence would be a disaster for Turkey. Turkey would lose geopolitical importance and would have much older demographic, Kurdistan is a blessing, culturally as well politically. Now people there understood that Kurds will get immense significance in the next years and suddenly Kurds became equal citizens. "Kurd" is still a term and identity with a negative connotation, I am not even Kurdish but this disgusting ignorance makes me sad. Kurdistan would cause incurable damages, incomparable with Soviets or Yugoslavia but Kurds would get a big country, young population with a lot of resources. So stop talking about huge weight and keep dreaming about Ottoman past which is unfortunately disliked by most Turks.
