When you say you are a standard Western Bengali, what proportion of western Bengalis look kind of like you do? If you can post some crowd pics as well from western Bengal that would help to understand what you mean by standard.

Ah, a misunderstanding. I haven't been to West Bengal nor am I from there, not talking about them. Western in this case means Canada, namely Ontario. Talking people from my social circle, mosque, classes at school, and other places where I've interested with fellow Bengalis. I'd say a fair few look like me.

Also, what do you classify me as, phenotypically and so on?

I'm Bengali. I don't think I'm North Indid tho, I have a substantial Asiatic/Tibeto-Burman influence (17-20% ancestral component on HarappaWorld, g25 vahaduo etc).

Wow really? What do you mean by this? I suppose that makes sense, you haven't seen to many Bengalis in America because (comparatively) we are far outnumbered by the Indians and Pakistanis

IRL, most (but not all) South Asians I see are Indians and they all look quite alike to me, though they are suppossed to be very diverse. And whenever a South Asian posts his pic in here, he doesn't look like them at all. But I'm not from America, I'm from Czechia. As for a classification, I'm not familiar at all with non-European phenotypes, so I don't know.
