This is one of my favourite renditions of this song. I've always wondered though, is this a new song inspired by Star of the County Down, or is it actually a pan-Celtic tune that made it's way to Galicia to become a traditional song?

I discovered this one while playing PES6 in my room at 3am. It was an amazing experience. I absoutely love this song too, one of those that give me this "Argentine nostalgia" that I could spend hours giving examples. When I was able to play it on the guitar, I got emotional for some reason and shed some tears.

Personally, I love most of the songs I have written. My favorite is probably Sweet Tea. It's akin to Beethoven's 5th. Sort of my little master piece.

This is easy for me. Mahler's "das lied von der erde"

A song symphony that uses texts from old Chinese poetry.
It starts with a tenor piece "Das Trinklied vom Jammer der Erde", which translates to "the drinking song of earth's sorrow". It ends with "Der Abschied" ("The Farewell") a sprawling thirty minute work for mezzo that depicts two lifelong friends one of which is moving away. They are parting and will never see each other again.

This is my favorite performance.

Are you familiar with Britten's "Young Person's Guilde to the Orchestra"?
It is a piece that introduces kiddos to the instruments of the orchestra.'
Britten uses that melody for a set of variations and a final fugue.

There are versions that have narration if one wants it for the didactic purpose.

Just the music is best for repeated listening,
