He's Coptic Egyptian, probably doesn't have elevated SSA ancestry & beyond skin tone doesn't really have anything pulling him towards a Sudanese direction relative to other Egyptians.

He's on the darker end for Copts but still falls within typical phenotype variation. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?

Ironically, as a South Asian, I'm used to the wide diversity in phenotype for my own region. I just never knew that it was also true of Coptics in the MENA region.

My parents are from "Northern South Asia".
