Hey Guys,

I recently started the software engineering path and wanted to make a tool for this community. I remember finding inputting GEDmatch results into Vahaduo/ CSV format was really tedious and if you miss any number it won't work and Vahaduo won't really tell you where the error is. It seems a lot of you are using G25 more often on Vahaduo these days, but for those of you still using GEDmatch calculators on Vahaduo, I think this tool can be extremely convenient.

So, basically, all you have to do is:

1) Run a kit through a GEDmatch Calculator
2) Open the Chrome Extension and click "Get Results!" on the page with the Admixture results (NOT IN THE ORACLE PAGE, just the page with the pie chart)
3) Then your results with appear in the correct format with the kit number as the name on the little popup AND all that same info will actually be automatically attached to your clipboard. So no need to copy the results from the popup!
4) Just paste your results onto Vahaduo.io and your good to go.

The chrome extension also has a link to a PasteBin folder with a bunch of different GEDmatch source populations in Vahaduo/CSV form ready for you to download or copy to the Source tab of Vahaduo.

It also had has a link to Vahaduo.io.

Example of how to use it.

Let me know how you like the Chrome Extension! Please let me know if you find any glitches and if you have any ideas for more functionality to add to this Chrome Extension.

Wow dude, this is really awesome. Makes creating averages a million times easier. Cheers :)

Thank you I am glad you like it :). I was thinking of the people who were making averages when making this extension! Please let me know if you catch any glitches or if you can think of some improvements.

Here are a few suggestions I have brother. Could the extension produce horizontal/ Vahaduo format for all 22 chromosomes on the breakdown page? That's a big problem for those that want to view individual chromosome results. Would be extremely useful. Also, could the extension save samples recently converted? As in, saves your history?

Awesome work brother, cheers!

Hey I saw this a while ago and I really liked your suggestions! I got pretty caught up with applying to jobs but needed a break so I worked on the chromosome breakdown feature today. I got it done very quickly actually and I just uploaded it for review by the Google Chrome Extension store. So, it should be ready to be used by tomorrow! I was considering the option for saving samples when I first made the tool but I am going to have to look into what the best way to do that will be so stay tuned! It might take a bit since I am focusing on job hunting rn RIP. Though I will send an update once the chromosome feature is officially released.

( PS if any of you know anyone who is a Software Engineer or works at a company who is hiring Junior - Mid Software Engineers pls PM me lol times are tough out here T_T)

Hey, so I updated the GEDmatch to Vahaduo Chrome Extension!

Now you can use the tool on Admixture Proportions By Chromosome and it will grab the data and transform the data making each individual chromosome into its own sample with the kit number and chromosome number as the name. And then it is automatically attached to your clipboard so you can just paste it onto Vahaduo!

Also at the end, it gives an average of each component from all 22 of your autosomal chromosomes if that is interesting to you. I found it interesting how it compares to the normal admixture proportion results that take the number of SNPs into consideration.

The tool is completely free but if you enjoy it I would really appreciate a positive review on the Chrome Store. I am trying to get a job at the moment and it would be nice to add a highly-rated chrome extension to my resume!
