Why not? a lot of Afghanis are quite light, lighter than this guy lol and he seems to have quite a strong Med influence with a bit of alpine and Cm, all elements that one gets in Afghanistan.

It has nothing to do with being light. I've seen dark blond afghans with light eyes, yes...but they looked different. There are indeed individuals in that area can can easily blend in the Balkans but I don't think this is the case.

His complexion is average for south europe. I think you can find much darker individuals (including in Romania) but i don’t classify by skin color. There are much lighter individuals outside Europe that don’t have to look European. Siberia is an example. But i agree…there are certain individuals that can pass well in all those areas at the same time.

I don't mean among darker Arab types in say Gaza, but the purer non-arab admixed areas in northern Lebanon, Syria, and northern Mesopotamia with the kurds, lebanese and assyrians - the latter peoples are found all around here in detroit and if I were to see this Vlad guy I'd assume he is one of them. This doesn't rob him of being Romanian looking mind you. As I said, you can look like two ethnicities at the same time. Doesn't rob you off anything.
Besides, if Romanians were a large minority in Detroit (and if we didn't have levantines) I'd assume he would be Romanian too!

Fair enough. It stands to personal perception and upbringing. I was raised and lived around Levantines and Italian islanders, so if I see his face I would assume he is either of the two. If I were around Romanians I'd see him an Romanian. Same way if I were living around Iberians, Latin americans, and Turks....

That, or maybe I'm just familiar with very them and I see guys like "vlad" as normal amongst them, because of my familiarity with them (as I am not familiar with romanians). Btw Ryan reynolds and Ben affleck have dark hair with a beard and don't look levantine/middle eastern to me at all. So I am fair.
