Hi everyone, im here just for 2 question:
Its qpAdm way more accurate than g25 as ppl say or isnt that difference? Is g25 a really reliable calculator? (At least for Ancient admixture models and PCA?)
it would be nice to hear the opinion of someone who is experienced with both calculators :)

Man, ngl all these complicated looking codes are scaring me XD
Maybe just i use g25 its enough lol, qpAdm just looks too hard bcs u need install, convert database and etc unlike g25 which u just copy some pops paste on source and put any target, no wonder why this is used on scientific papers, i heard that qpAdm dont have the overlap problem unlike g25 which u cant do calculators with Celtic and Germanic samples bcs they will overlap and create a confuse result, g25 works rly good only in models where the pops are kinda far off like some iberians models, Iberians IA are very far from Proto-Celts, Romans and NA, but dont work that well in British models where Insular keltcs overlap a lot with Bell Beaker Uk and Anglo-Saxons

This subject is very intersting, but that article is very difficult to understand
I'm waiting for smeone to clarify it for us.

IDK, but IMO, similar populations whould always overlap? I might be entirely wrong though, I'm sure that qpAdm is very much better, since it's so complex and dificult to understand.

Late response but qpAdm is muuuuch better than g25. g25 is super inaccurate in many cases and confuses many components for each other whereas qpAdm is able to differentiate accurately

Strangely enough qpAdm is mostly used by brownoid ugly non-Europeans with a very specific agenda.
Otherwise, there are a lot of disadvantages as an amateur for using qpAdm, including having to go through X things to install to use qpAdm.

I suspect it is not that this method was difficult to execute, but rather that you must not have liked the results you were getting from it.

LOL dude what are you even talking about? Are you alright? This is a very odd reply in a thread about genetic modelling with g25/qpAdm.
qpAdm is an advanced software used by brownoids, whiteoids, mongoloids and etc alike because it's a really helpful tool, used in academic studies to determine different things as it's capable of doing things that g25 gedmatch and other amateur tools CAN'T. Academia uses qpAdm because it's truly capable of making conclusions while g25 is just coordinates so it's unable to tell apart similar populations while qpAdm is able to split things up better. qpAdm does it by the SNP which makes it worthwhile to look at up because you're getting the full picture. In short, it's an academically relevant tool used by any and everyone.
qpAdm isn't meant to be used by amateur hobbyists and yes it does have high barriers of entry but that's the point. It was also developed by a whiteoid by the name of Tim Patterson so what's the agenda there? lol. Everybody uses qpAdm because it's a super powerful and useful tool.

It is a very difficult software to run, to be fair but yes....what a strange response to have......
