So hey, here are my results, I have them for a while now, but haven't posted, and today seems like a good day

23andMe is the most accurate results for me, far better than FTDNA could ever be. The Greek/Balkan used to have regions in Bulgaria, now they are gone; Portugal has regions in Azores, as expected.

the 0.5% ashkenazim seems to be legit, even that little, but I couldn't confirm through genealogy, everyone seems orthodox
The only jewish I know are sepharadim, but it's incredibly distant.

Few years back, the OG members remember, I thought I had Russian ancestry, I was wrong, they were bulgarians from today's Moldova/Ukraine, heavily russified however. That was the reason I got into genealogy/DNA testing and the reason I'm here.

Congrats on your South Slavic results :) You score good amount of native American for Brazilian I guess. And yea, AJ is real. 23andme is totally reliable there, even with 0.1%.

Thank you! It will always be "my little precious", even if I have little to do with them and can say handful of words only.
My native seems quite high indeed, it is from my maternal side, mostly. I say this because my father only has one colonial line, as genealogy points to Azores, so if he has any native must be quite low.

Finally you can change your nickname and forgetting forever and ever the fairy tale of being Jew, as I am years telling.

Your mtDNA is amerindian of origin, besides is D, the less common one (Excepting the X).

It's pretty cool, a sorta unique signature, do you not know yours? I think D is a little more common in Mexico, is it not?

Oh yeah, it is; and no, Idk mine because I tested with MH so sadly I just got my Y-DNA.

About if it's more common than Brazil, idk much about it, I'd need to search info, but I know more about my country and even here the D is less common, just in Los Altos I have found a lot more D incidence than other zones in México.

As far as I know, the Portuguese impregnated the Amerindian women and killed their men. So not surprise when most Brazilian mtDNA are native american.

No, most brazilian mtDNA are european, include an importatnt amount of european women that migrated to here, to labor as sex workers.

Funny I'm less than 1,5% amerind, I'm less amerind than many Europeans (possible due ANE overlap)! I can even speculate my amerind ancestry is of european source and that "amerinds" that raped and impregnated european women during bronze age, many people here is claiming ANE were amerind looklike:

ANE just looks native american.

The reality is weird.

Interesting is that amerind ancestry is being so diluted in Brazil that possibly it will disappear in future and will survive only in mtDNA. I have many histories about amerinds in my family to peak amerind ancestry like the noise of a european DNA test, but I have so many balkanic and turkic-mongolic that some people can tell I'm decedent of Gagauz, not you.

I dont think so the average its abt 12% and varies along the places, Bahia can have 2% - 15%, Amazonas 20% - 45%, Maranhão 15% - 30% and etc. . . in the future we will become more homogeneous and I believe that the rate of amerindian DNA will be similar among all (10% in SE & NE, 15% in Centro-Oeste, >10% in S, 25% in North, and with the comuns variations in regions, like despite Bahia begin NE we have a considerable less Native blood and Maranhão despite begin also NE have a LOT of Native in my opinion) that if dont occour any crazy imigration in this time which i found very hard

Weren't you part middle eastern? I remember you said they were orthodox christian, like Copts? So there's that. I have gagauz, but they are not different from balkan people, and were til the URSS considered as just bulgarians.

Anyway, I always tell people that recent ancestry is impactful, in many ways, rest assure that if my results were the same overall but I had only european ancestry from 300 years ago and not from the 20th century It would be different.

We are discovering our ancestry were just legends... But rising in an environment where their cultural content is so incorporated in us, it defines us more than genetic, it is the definition of phenotype, GENETIC+ENVIRONMENT, and culture, values and behavior are also part of definition of phenotype.

Sometimes Amerindians (and LatAms) score bits of E and SE Asian on these things....perhaps it's reflecting some Central Asian invader, as well?

It would be interesting if I still had any bits of DNA from them, and it's being mixed with amerindian creating ambiguity
