Interesting. I find them more NW/Germanic looking than the Hungarians from NE Hungary. Not very suprising, because Budapest have/had a large German population, so accordingly, there is a lot of German mixed Hungarians among the native Budapestians.

According to Tooting Carmen, the Hungarians and the French are the two transitions between Northern Europe and Southern Europe. Yes, there is something in it.

In fact, we are very diverse people. There are NW European, SE European, Central European, SW European and NE European (just like me) looking Hungarians. Also, there are few Central Asian and West Asian looking Hungarians, too.

Among the low class Hungarians there are some Veddoid/Indid influenced persons, caused by the intermarriages with the Gypsies.
I know a Gypsy admixed Hungarian girl, she came from a low class family and the Gypsy vibe don't visable on her.

Varied looks, they are blonder than the French, probably on par with the Belgians and Southern English for light blonde hair, nordo baltids, subnordics, pontids, meds, alpines, north pontids.

a bit similar situation as turks, i think that's because of nomadic background (though hungarian genetics are mostly homogenous) there are se euro, caucasus, persian, southern euro looking turks even you can find central europe or central asian looking turk.

They are blonder than the French, but darker eyed. Also, compared to real French, they have greater extremes (people way too dark to pass as French but also even more people way too light). Completely different looking from Romanians or even Transylvanian Hungarians... Germanic influence is strong, but there are also other elements (Uralic, above all, but also Slavic). Lots of people look typical Finns/Estonians

Very true it is how genetics works i suppose where you have a very mixed population, you can get some extremes, happens in the UK too where you have quite dark meddish individuals and super light ones. I suppose France didn't have that strong a blonde or nordic invasion despite the Franks etc so you don't see that many light blondes even in the north of France.

(Real) French people are quite homogenous: they are largely a mix of local ENF and proto-Kelts. Keltic element is the binding point that makes people look French, but overall, especially in Southern France, it is not the dominant. Hungarians are historically super mixed

Yes, for instance that girl from the video at the top on the thumbnail. She'd stand out because of it.

I think it is higher EEF admixture behind her phenotype. There are darker 1005 native Poles than her but they don't look like her.

What are your opinion about these people in both videos generally?

As a group they dont look more southern then I expected, but I learned that hungarians have a balkan-like look, i was not aware of before. Many of them look half balkan or something like that.
