Interesting.. welcome aboard.
Ooh I may have to note one thing. That "aryan" thing: we are Europeans and/or colonials of European descent and no Afghans or Kurds or the like (lol)..why not be proud of what you are: American ? :)

Oh, I'm sorry I thought it was the ethnicity box not the Nationality box that I was filling. Anyway I like to think of my ancestors in a paleo anthropological sense. The modern term for the, "aryan" would then be Kurgan.
Rest assured though I am of Western European ancestory :thumb001:

Yes but do you have any documents that can show that you are directly of Kurgan (I can find no real existing people of that sort) lineage ? Your ancestors came to the U.S and were probably along the colonists or the immigrants - they fused together and became a nation. An American nation with an American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_american) people.:)

Hehe sorry if I am nitpicking. I have my reasons.

Welcome BloodEagle.

May I ask how you managed to find a reference of us from "that forum"?
I thought they had blanked out the name Apricity?

Bloodeagle

Yep, we immigrated to America and helped settle this varied land.

I suppose I have my genetic haplo database for much of my assumed paleo ancestry.

It's meant to be a conversation starter.

I was doing a search about Germanic-worlds forum on skadi and I came across a poll that asked: How did you find out about skadi.

"Ironic", I didn't know about the censorship.

Come on Tristan; everyone who bears the R1a haplogroup (myself included) is almost assuredly of Kurgan descent. :thumb001:

You have rooted out my R1a1 haplogroup. I guess the Kurgan kind of gave that one away.

Is your R1a1 of the British variety or is it Scandinavian, Eastern European, or something else?

My R1a1 is of the British variety. I am really unsure of it's pre-English origins.
I have a genetic distance of 5 and 6 in 12 dys markers to the Indians.

Skadi has now removed "The Apricity" as a poll choice in the How Did You Find Out About Skadi? (http://forums.skadi.net/showthread.php?t=37176) thread.

Edit: the same goes for anyone's post(s) which mentioned finding Skadi through Apricity.

I know about a year ago on Skadi, when one would post a link with 'apricity' in its text, the posted link text would be different than what one typed ultimately redirecting those that clicked on the link to a dead page. An example was the invaluable SNPA archive. However, modifications were made to allow links to SNPA.
