G2a in Belarus/ Poland

My paternal haplogroup is G2a-FGC12126, and I
know that my paternal grandfather was born in modern-day
Belarus, Minsk Gubernia in the Russian Empire, identified either as Belarusian or Russian, probably was an assimilated Jew, and his brother relocated to Poland after WWII probably identifying as a Pole. From what I know this haplogroup is quite unusual for that region and is usually tied to the Caucasus.Anybody has any ideas?

It's hard to tell ethnicity based on YDNA only, you need to check all relative matches you got on your DNA test, it would be better indicate of some exotic ancestry

Polish people in France looks very european, western european, not really exotic.
