Good examples of archetypal middle-American Whites...almost stereotypical, at least the good majority of them. Most look rather German, or German+Isles. Forumites act like 90% of White Americans look like this, however in my area you'd only find a smattering of people who look like this amongst other admixed whites, and of course non-whites. (of course, speaking of being in any one place.)

I agree, the dominant element is more Germanic (I mean, the English are in fact Germanic, but I think you catch my intent)....likely actual German ancestry in many of them. Some could perhaps be conceivably part Dutch, or it could be that the area was settled by a good amount of northern Germans.

I see a lot of sub-nordids, CM admixed individuals, some with Atlantid strains, as you mentioned. A couple of the girls are quite Anglo-Saxony.

IMHO, white Americans do look a bit different from English people. You don't see the very English-looking types often among Americans (like Paul McCartney). Aussies look more English in comparison.

Paul McCartney is very English? He's like 1/4 English by ancestry. I guess you mean you don't see the strongly Celtic British looks among White Americans often, which is debatable.

I'd be curious if people from Germany saw them as very familiar looking, can't see it myself. I agree with Feiichy that they just look American, and within a Euro context sort of pseudo-Belgian like you say.

Maybe that is because many Americans have more than one ethnicity in their ancestry, therefore it is very difficult to see Americans with very specific types from certain areas like Germany.

Agree and there still is a very distinct Belgian look that doesn't look identical to these Americans, Germany just seems to be too distant from Britain for people to look White American, most W Americans do have quite a British look away from the east coast imo.

Most Americans have a British look in the South - not particularly on the West Coast, or in the Midwest.

Some do. I'm beginning to think that Australians have their own look too.
