Just because the OP asks whether he looks more Spanish or German doesn't necessarily mean he's part Spanish or German if that's where the confusion came from.

his colouring is traditionally more associated with Spain but his squared jawline and large bigonials give him a look more traditionally associated to Germany.
he looks like Franz Beckenbauer that for you north american posters was a german footballer of the 70s.

He can fit in parts of Germany very well and parts of Spain very well. His coloring is on the light side and his features are kind of germanic but he is essentially French. I would say his phenotype leans a little to Germany more than Spain because mainly of his features.
