Isn't Arbeloa just marginally too dark for Croatia? (Croats aren't like Southern Balkanites on the whole).

I don't think so, Croatians are hardly like the French either, i have always seen them as fairly close to Greeks like other Balkanites.

In pigmentation at least (maybe less so features), Croats are certainly much more French-like than Greek-like.

You think? many seem quite swarthy in a Balkan manner and the Spaniard you posted is still lighter than many others i.e Rodri or Xavi Hernandez

I always thought of Slovenes and Croats as mostly looking more Central Euro than Balkan/Mediterranean.

Slovenes yes but Croats tend to darker types a little more, oddly enough Slovenes seem even lighter than many Hungarians
