In case anyone wanted to know how far off these allocated/simulated coordinates are off from the "official" IllustrativeDNA G25 coordinates I received, here is how they fair:

The average of just the top 21 closest is 3.0277 making the closest sim to the sim average to be Eurasia K20 (for me). I guess that would be the best purely simulated option to get an average "simulated" outcome, but it's still a ways off from the official. I am surprised to see the K36 has the closest GD.

I use K13 simulated coords and they work for me okay, because my actual coords are pretty drifted and don't give me good fits/distances.

Obviously you don't have good fits than and your genetic profile is indeed more stand alone. You should use real coords.
Just because simulated coords give lower fits, it doesn't mean they aren't garbage.

Real coords are only thing that should be used. Simulated coords are simply inacurate.

I am surprised to see the K36 has the closest GD.

Ofc it's closest, since it uses 36 values instead of 13 or 12. More values are used more closer to reality it will be. But yes, real coords are real coords and no simulated ones are as close as correct.
Than again, quality of real coords also depends on raw data quality itself (snp count).

Then why isn't the K47 on top? And, why is it only 25 official coords if more is better? It should be G100, right? I read it in an article quite a while ago that you would think what you said is true but they said it's not true they said you can get better fits and distances on the smaller number like the K13 or a k11 will be a better fit than a lot of the more spread out ones.

I don't really understand how it all works because there's no real explanation of how they calculate all these percentages and how they choose which samples you're actually connected to and which ones you're not.

Do you have any test results showing the difference for the same person between your typical ancestry.com raw DNA versus a full genome when you test them against the same calculator with the same distances? Please post them if you do thank you have a nice day.
