When making all of these G25 calculator models I notice that the authors use ancient profiles. Sometimes simulated profiles. Sometimes modern group averages.
Does anyone make a calculator using modern individuals to include outliers?
Wouldn't this more accurately reflect one's ethnicity?

simulated samples should be avoided completely, especially when dealing w coords that have ssa/east asian or natufian
as for modern individuals they can vary a lot, you would have to take time to choose which one suits whatever your looking for best
averages make more sense to use, they cover all the variations of whatever ethnic group you are looking into

I agree simulated profiles or simulated samples should not be used. However I think that modern individuals outliers should be included with with modern individuals because not everyone has the typical ancestry some have atypical such as myself.
