Based on what we can see with the G25, if not exactly the same, at least genetically they would be quite similar. Maybe the cultural differences and their worldview were different.

The selection may not show the reality of their genetic divergences, since I do not know exactly what parts of England or Scotland these individuals are from, nor if all the Scottish samples were really Picts, or non-Picts those found in present-day England.

They were from Britain weren't they, what else would they be?

Their modern Scottish descendants show no genetic signal of different origins than other British Isles peoples, and placenames of Pictish origin in Scotland are clearly related to Welsh placenames.

That's funny don't you think it's strange how we can resemble people but not look exactly like them I think I resemble him much more than I resemble you for example and I have more Scottish and Norse Atlantic genetics then probably Spanish even though both my parents bloodlines might go back to Basque country I think my Basque male bloodline went through Catalunia up into southern France and then somehow went up to Denmark and has lived there for over 2,000 years potentially I don't know I don't know how my mother's bloodline is also Basque and she's totally Scandinavian so they must be up in the north for a long time now I think the Basque people are the most ancient people in Europe and they went all the way to the northern tip of Norway and even into Sweden probably covered all of Europe actually

I took the only sample from the medieval samples on the exploreyourdna.com website and I traced it to the first century BC to see who is living there genetically in their background potentially at least and I don't see any sign of those people in that grouping so maybe they need a new sample group from Scotland they only have one from England. I think your sample group is too dated far back it's in the bronze age I don't know if those samples would equate to the fossil record that dates to 300 ad up till 900 ad so it could be a different people group that moved in through Brittany from Western France or northwestern France that were Britannic mixed with Celtic and those genetics just mixed all over England I imagine due to small-scale migrations through northern France especially northwestern France and then you get all the Germanic make sure as well over time I imagine they have some Germanic I don't know

I always get a 10-20% of Scandinavian in my results so I think it pushes me towards Orkney.
