Hello everyone,

I wanted to share an update regarding my exploration of the Periodical Ancient Ancestry Breakdown from Illustrative DNA. Previously, I encountered some issues with the accuracy of the results. Here's what happened: I uploaded my raw data to dnagenics to obtain my coordinates. These coordinates were then used in illustrative DNA, but unfortunately, the results turned out to be unreliable.

Surprisingly, the initial outcomes suggested a possible Romani ancestry, despite the absence of any South Asian components in my previous commercial tests and Gedmatch analyses. Additionally, there was a lack of Slavic admixture, which is typically more common among individuals of Balkan descent.

To address these discrepancies, I decided to directly upload my raw data into illustrative DNA, bypassing the dnagenics step. The revised results were quite significant. The South Asian component completely vanished, while a distinct Slavic component emerged.

In my opinion, there may be inaccuracies in the coordinates provided by DNAgenics or the interpretation of these coordinates within the illustrative DNA platform.

I invite you all to take a look at my updated results and share your thoughts and insights on this matter. Your input is highly appreciated.

Thank you!
