Hello everyone!

Would like the ask some fellow Croats what they think about the I1-P109 haplogroup in Croatia? I have already done extensive research about it.
My father is half REAL Sokac and half Lican. All ethnic Croats! More info if needed i can provide later.

Still wanna know what you guys know.

As the saying goes you can always learn something new! ;)

Thank you!

I am from Slavonija, but my dad's family is from Gradacac in Bosnia and has been there for the last 3-4 generations as far as I have researched. I am also I-P109. It's a little tricky as you'd need a down clade to see where exactly they're from. Could be remnants of Goths, Longobards, Germans or even a Viking that somehow found himself in the Balkans :D

Both individuals should consider undergoing a Whole Genome or BigY test. Without conducting a comprehensive genome analysis and subsequently uploading the resulting BAM file to Yfull, any conclusions drawn about their genetic heritage would be purely speculative. Relying solely on guesswork can potentially lead them astray and misinterpret their genetic origins. Only by attaining a position on the Yfull Tree of Humanity will they be equipped to engage in informed discussions regarding theories pertaining to their ancestral lineage.

I did actually do a whole genome test. Well anyway...

That's great then. Are you assigned a place on the Yfull or ftDNA tree perhaps? Do you need help with that? I will be happy to help.

Well no why should i add myself to an open plotform. I know those companies and i don't particulary trust them. I did my whole genome sequencing in Europe under european laws i know my y haplogroup. Again read my post. I asked fellow Croats for some info.... thats that.

I think your hg is of Norman/Viking origin to be specific. :)

And what is your final subclade neighbor?
