He is not real Jew. He father was a Serb and mother Croatian, both were from town Drniš in Dalmatia. His born name is Nenad Asić. He converted in judaism in 1980s. He is known Isak Asiel today.

Yes. I thought he is Ashkenazi until recently when i heard that he is a convert. When he converted to judaism he married Ashkenazi woman and took her surname. He later divorced her, but stayed in judaism and took surname Asiel (modification of his original surname).

I thought Jews in Balkans were Sephardis, not Ashkenazis.

I thought Jews in Balkans were Sephardis, not Ashkenazis.

In the Balkan proper (south of Sava and Danube) they were mostly Sephards who arrived from Spain in 16th century. In Vojvodina Jews were Ashkenazi like in the rest of central Europe. In Belgrade were present both Sephards and Ashkenazi. Sephards were older, they lived in Belgrade several centuries. Ashkenazi arrived in the late 19th century from Austria-Hungary, because Belgrade as capital of Serbia was very close to border with AH in that time.

The Yarmulke suits him well, mostly an Alpine Mediterranean intermediate but perhaps with some armenoid influences (big fleshy nose and weak chin)

Do you really think this model (ethnicity uncertain) dressed in Jewish religious clothing including kippah could easily pass as Ashkenazi origin? Such clear Northern/Northeastern European phenotypes are rare enough among Ashkenazi Jews that the distinctive costume should not be misleading.

^Jew was more of religious term, so yeah anyone wearing yarmulke would look Jewish, same as any person wearing a cross would look Christian

Once he said that everyone who believes in the coming of messiah in this time of globalized world is a Jew. He apparently thought that being Jew is not a matter of blood and birth, but be follower of Jewish religion.
