I'm somehow 'more germanic' than your uncle, despite my being Russian (allegedly).

My 'Middle Ages' results:

Fit: 1.385 (Good)

Slavic - 46.6%

Germanic - 25.6%

Volga - 20%

Balkans - 7.8%

Where does the Russian part of your great uncle come from? The region, that is.

That΄s interesting. Russian part was from the Ufa region, but half Volga German apparently.

I see. That could explain the slight Turkic admixture that probably comes from Bashkirs who live in the region. My father's family also comes from that sort of general area where the Volga Germans lived, perhaps I have some of that in me as well, who knows.

Yes, it could come from Bashkirs like your Germanic could come from Volga Germans.
