It's a good test. You'll be pleased to get what you do for free. They even nailed that my tribe is West Slavic. They got my Italian and Germanic. 36 autosomal matches. I started out with 19 a year ago.

I had to pay 40 to get my father's ancestry results. Well worth it. He started out with double the matches I started with. Many have nice family trees with their origins.

None test can be complete accurate but these tests you must know how to read them. South slavs also score on typical dna tests like MyHeritage , Ancestry, FTDNA Spain or Italy because Illyrians that we mixed with them are closest to modern Italians and Spanish people not that we have actual ancestry from there. So except Hungary because i never get Hungary anywhere, this is ok. Balkan, Poland, Belarus as slavs are from there, its not bad really

There is some truth in your words but it nailed my southern Italian. On another board a poster mentions it nailed that his Italian is northern in origin. It has also nailed mine and my father's origins. So overall it is doing better than most. Funny thing is I messaged 23&me and they mentioned they only have a few Slavic references. I said you have been around how long and you only have a "few" Slavic references? So you can find faults with every company.

Second, not wanting to pay after having getting lured by the formulation "Free Genotek raw data upload" has nothing to do with not having the money. If you don't want to buy a hotdog for 40 US$, does it then mean that you don’t have 40 $?

I paid $35 and it was a wrestling match. They kept requesting a Russian bank card. It was an odd interaction before they finally linked me to an EU paying option where I could use my paypal.
