What do you mean by depopulation, because population density indeed is smaller for Latvia, population drop in Latvia is boosted by Russian minority leaving it and young people migrating to the UK as well(belarusians can't that much because potato king said so)

ALFRED gene frequency database considers Czechs and Slovenes Western European populations (they don't distinguish Central European). I suppose this is because those territories were historically a part of the Holy Roman Empire rather than the East-Central European powers of Poland and Hungary. Even though Czechs and Slovenes are Slavic the Western influence may be stronger than with other Slavs.
