Why are Albanians so into expensive cars?

Its known fact that Albania has among the biggest per capital mercedes cars in Europe.
So why is this happening in one of the poorest countries in Europe.
Why do people dont invest in other luxury goods but they do only in cars? it always striced my curiocity. Could someone explain this strange phenomenon?

Ha Ha, poor people here also try to have expensive cars and latest phones. They don't realize the only people they impress are the ones trying to do the same thing.

More intelligent poor people like myself(not saying I'm some genius) buy homes and get out of debt instead.

Not all of us. I am into classic Benzes, I sometimes drive a 240D for fun and it hasn't broken down once because classic cars are better built than modern ones.
