I think it is not war that can truly destroy a nation, but the economic and cultural policies. I do not think this war can really weaken Russia, so using the war to weaken Russia is an ideological trap. I can tell you that Zelensky`s real plan is not retrieving the lands, but to occupy Russia. In near future, the war danger between China and Japan is larger than between China and the USA， if no, China and Japan will become allies.

It doesn't have to be strictly "intellectual", just anything that got you thinking, or aides in your learning, or plays a role in your worldview, or inspires you. Even interesting vocabulary you have recently heard. It's a free for all.

I'm building curriculum which I don't want to be limited to only what I happen to know about, and I'm also just curious about you guys, so any contribution is appreciated.

The only thing that separates mathemeticians from the rest of intellectual society is that mathematicians know that that all maths can be derived from a few fundamental axioms and that aesthetics are the driving force of mathematics or mathematicians : to call a mathematician's work "elegant" is the highest praise you can give him.

I remember recalling that fact during 6th grade shop class when we were learning about modern technology lol, I can still see the apple logo sitting there in my text book on my desk while marveling at how I'd seen this video about the "forbidden apple" and was now looking at that forbidden apple in my text book.

This seems to come from the idea that the forbidden fruit was sex. I entertain many ideas about the forbidden fruit, and many could make sense. I am somewhat partial to 2 seedline theory because of verses scattered throughout the old and new testaments.

Anglo-rock is the best rock music in the world, too bad many people have lost their souls so that they can not understand the beauty of rock. Japanese rock absorb and keep up the Rock n` Roll spirit and educate people about rock music, without Jrock, I am sure nobody will really get Anglo rock anymore. I can not see any yt videos, but I can say something about Jrock as a chinese grown up with it. First of all, only 10% of japanese bands are listenable, 5% are favorable to me, only this 5% portion justifies my Jrock fandom. You can not just click around the yt videos and get my point on this topic. Well, I feel rock music is more spontaneous so I would be robbing you of your own chance for independent experience in music, if I only give direct recommendations and advices. I must be very cautious and circumspectively in give out my opinions. I did this in talkclassical before about classical music. Now I would like to try again in rockmusic. This is gonna be long.

Lets start! there is a huge obstacle for msuic in depth appreciation in western society recently, that is the alpha-pride, which is quick to call anything that is less alph than them as "gay", "faggot", because of this subculture nobody dares to freely talk about music !!most good music would not always sound satisfactorily alpha to people, therefore, under this influence, the scope of musical language will be cramped, crippled, even in making death metal music which is alpha enough, they will lack palettes. This is why recent western music is getting sick, social marxism of the two extremes: alphticism vs sexual corruption, leaving the middle wide space empty and barren. Also most good western music from 70s, 80s, 90s, would fit in the middle and sound outdated to the ears from the both extremes. And, there are corruptive music from the other opposite to the alpha as well, like rap and other bad kind of music. The general context of west, is being split in a kind of generalized extremism.

To culturally unlearn this given bad influence, it will still take much time to recover better senses, do not assume you can be awakened just by reading my posts. One day, if you found yourself: "oh, I did not know this when I read Hexa`s post at the time !!" then you are truly awared of the situation. Give yourself time, do not get annoyed that I stretch the post too long, my point here is not to teach people how to appreciate Jrock, rather to rediscover western rock music, even if one has to go through with Jrock to return to western rock. Of course this will help you better understand japanese music as well.

Korean pop is garbage, I can safely state this, the stylistic and cultural influences by Korean pop upon Jrock and chinese rock have been nothing less than destructive. Commercial teenage bands had been a korean major genre, although it originated from Japan, but this genre had never been popular untill the success of korean pop groups from 2000s untill 2012, you know boy groups had been the major victim of sexual abuse in Japan, so you will know what is the real undertone of this type of groups, only for looks in service of either little girls or model moneyboys. You can not compare them to Beatles, most of them do not write a damn song. Capitalization is bad in Japan and Korea, our teenager artists are not as good as the western young artists in the 60s. For example, very few japanese artists who were born around 80s are favorable to me, except for Amazarashi, this band was formed by 2 person, Akita Hiromu as the vocal, Toyokawa Manami as the electric keyboardist, however, all the songs and lyrics are written by Hiromu alone, all !! He was born 1980, and his band( this is a solo band actually) debuted in 2010, he was 30 by the time. And I knew him and follow him only since last year, he was 42 then. For Japan, sadly, there are no many good young artists, I am sure, I do not care if there were a little more than I presume. It is also said that east asians mental maturity develops slower than the westerners, I presume it be true. Adding to capitalization of east Asia, it shows why only 5% of Jrock bands are acceptible to me.

As matter of fact, as I grow more sophisticated, I also find some of my favorite jrock music are actually not good enough, however I still like them constantly. This is my unique way of loving music, loving even the imperfections as much as its beauty. Like Guns N`s Roses for the typical western rock band, I think you can call Jrock as Katana and Chrysanthemum, like there is a book about japanese aestheticism titled: The Chrysanthemum and the Sword by Ruth Benedict. This is a good allegory of the japanese cultural character. I think these allegories can be use d in rock music as well, the Guns and Roses for the west, Katana(japanese samurai sword) and Chrysanthemum for Japan!! Japanese katana never came to be famous untill modern world, their fames had been hidden untill modern times, as the mongols, crusaders, chinese warred against each other since antiquity and knew each other.

Japanese katana is not only exceptionally sharp, but also a symbol of harakiri: self-vindicativity and self-containment. This is a part the world has not been awared of and understood. Of course, such a kind of self-containment character, will be misunderstood by alphaticism of the west. I mean, western people also have to rediscover your own "Katana" character in order to appreciate better Jrock, to rediscover "The Katana and Roses" in your cultures. Alphas and lefties have broken this subtle katana spirit in the west, even the “guns” as well, leaving only boulders and muscles and money. But, Nirvana is not the only good western bands, they might be the best of the world, however, if you do not rediscover those who are less perfect but still wonderful bands like I do about Jrock bands, there will be more and more bad bands to eat away the palace that hold Nirvana`s throne. If you truly believe me at least in musical criticism, I can say Jrock is not better than the western rock, maybe more colorful and beautiful in a certain way of appreciation, if in an all-rounded perspective, the light from the western rock is a bit brighter. But there is definitely a layer of oblivious dust upon the western rock music industry for a little more than a decade now. You have to rediscover and revive the western rock, even I can find shining ones from China: Beyond.

This is my initial evocation of the experience. From criticising the internal western extremism to the awakening of the forgotten subtleties of the western spirit, to better understand eastern culture and your own heritages as well. Of course, very few people will immediately find the few asian bands(Amazarashi, Beyond) I named above attractive, then this will just prove my point above, you need the Katana; if one immediately fall in love with them, you are a genius to me, and will take much less time than the others to witness the similar scene of wonder as I do. I do not directly give band recommendations and detailed advices, because, only by steadily independent experience alone, one can develop the real inspiration. This is also the way of my veneration for music. But I would like to continue the discussion on the cultural contexts like cultural marxism, and the self-containment spirit of East Asia. This spirit also exists and persists outside Japan(myself and Beyond are theexample), just not exhibited more ostentious than Japan.

I should slap myself for not listing Kafka's The Trial. That's a far more important book than the Illuminatus! Trilogy. The latter was just a fun read that would be the type of book/s I'd write if I was an author but The Trial is genius.

The 12th house rules the subconscious mind, dreams, intuition, instinct and esotericism.

A gift or a curse (?) But I’d say one’s interests are pretty well set up.

I needed to make a second post since this is a completely different aspect.

For obvious reasons, tarot is goofy. When I don't know what decision to make, I divide things up into the smallest baby steps I can take. That way if I choose the wrong path, there isn't so much course correction.

I do not consult tarot cards, but I do at times listen (the openness of my being as a sounding board) to the (Universal) Echo to my intended direction, especially when making big decisions. I guess it is a bit more direct way of listening to one’s subconscious or intuition than tarot cards.

In 'Evolutionary Astrology' Pluto is seen as representing the soul or the wound in your soul, which is interesting.

I only studied Astrology a little bit, because my friend was so into it – to find out if there was any truth to it.
Turned out, there was.
