I have no difficulty understanding presenter Alex Jones. She comes from the Amman Valley in Carmarthenshire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmarthenshire), just around the corner from where I live. Reason why I'm asking is that it appears that many people (mainly English) have commented on how difficult her accent is to understand. What do you think?

The only part I didn't understand was at 00:49. Sounded like "iter ani has met a woman . . . " and I don't think that has to do with accent but with the editing which took out the audio context.

I may add, she sounds even better in Welsh. So much better than christine bleakley.

In the begining of the video when she is only saying short sentences i understand her completely. But at the end of the video when she speaks more i start to lose her.

Conclusion: if she doesn't talk much then i understand her.

No problem understanding her, not at all. Her sing-songy sheepshagger accent from Wales isn't that hard to decipher. :tongue

Try going to London and speaking to a chav or two. Those are the really unintelligible ones. Even without the slang. Goes double for the drunken ones xD.
