It's not about selection, it's also about the average phenotype . I came across this insta page of a English guy who took some photos of some afghans he met .I can cherrypick the most whitest looking ones but what's the point? Besides, steppe folk reconstructions look more like OP than that Afghan man you posted .

I get you though i do like to see people who resemble real locals from here or from nearby parts of Europe, those previous threads i find more satisfying. I don't think White from that part of the world are especially hard to find, some groups i have seen online have maybe a 5-10% occurance of light and pale complexions.

I don't think White from that part of the world are especially hard to find, some groups i have seen online have maybe a 5-10% occurance of light and pale complexions.

I think these ones would have no issue passing in most of Europe let alone as a darker than average southern euro imo

I'm usually interest in how common the phenotypes pop up within the region, for instance the last two posts of some Afghan American girl who has gone to Afghanistan to help with donations etc posted these two men

Reason why his eyes are off is because I think he's a hazara, picture was taken in Bamyan, ironically the man sitting next to him looked more like a caucasoid euro passing .

Second guy could also be a tajik or a mix of tajik-hazara, probably more likely these than fully hazara.
Third guy being from Kabul than Ghor makes much sense to me.

2/4 guy is the most Aryan. The rest are pretty much Iranid or Irano Meds with Turanid and Anatolid input as classifications due to their wide nose or hooked nose, respectively. They mostly look kurdish as i see in the village photos in iraq and Turkey.

As I said, I dont care about the rest. Only the estimation and the source, which I cant see now unfortunately. Unless you can find me evidence, like proper evidence, that pashtuns are a significant amount. Not something like showing videos or anything of some few pashtun villagers or talibs, especially from 2021 to 2023 time. Like documentation.

I havent heard of pashtuns migrating towards ghor unlike Farah, herat, Badghis, Nimruz, Kunduz etc from 17th century to 20th century
