Why am i so close to Moldovan?

I have noticed that not only me but many Bosnians/Serbs are much closer to Moldovans than to Romanians or Croats, populations that are much closer. Can anyone explain this closeness to Moldovans to me?

I also saw that Moldovans are closer to Bosnians/Serbs than Romanians, it seems strange to me

Moldovans in both Rep. Moldova and in Romanian region of Moldova show a similar ratio of Slavic and pre-Slavic/Balkan genes to ex-Yugos, especially to Serbs.

although there is also a gradient from south to north, the northern Moldovans sometimes showing some excess Slavic/Baltic % while the southern ones being more Romanian/Bulgarian-oriented. the gradient in Moldova goes south to north disregard of the Romania/Rep. of Moldova border, I mean Moldovans on the same latitude are similar on both sides
