My great-grandfather looked like Mortimer, so probably I do... IMHO:

- great-grandmother: alpinid, could be RO too
- grandmother: alpinid, faelid + indid
- aunt: faelid + baltid
- father: aryan + faelid
- grandfather: faelid, aryan, dinaric

Faelid in my family has been very strong. Even though all had mixed central-european ancestry, their German side was super obvious

There is no way the woman sitting down is a German, she is a Romani gypsy. Don't do this game where you act like southern Germans are dark, they do not look anywhere like that.

As I said, her father looked Gypsy (indo-brachid with balkan mix). He was a Romanian speaker though... I happened to inherit nothing from him, but my first cousin does

well, your face seem to be small, and squarrish- which Gracile Indids have quite often (debattable ofc). I did not see Indid in the other Romanian member, it took some time for me to see it.

Yeah, she even looks like many Polish highlanders, not even touching on Lemkos and Ukrainian ones.

I'm not seeing the potential Roma in her Aherne.

Although there has been some mixing with Carpathianites and Roma.. just I don't see it in her specifically, she just seems like a tanned woman from the region. However, if you say her father was who knows.

Were these Banat Swabians?

Did he specify they were Swabians from Germany? Swabian colonizing cockroaches encroached Eastern Europe and picked up local types.
Do these people look German to you too, well they're Eastern European Swabians:

Considering she's wearing a Romanian folk costume, then I'm assuming she was indeed a Banat or Danubian Swabian and not directly from Swabia?

She also had lots of Faelid too and her pigmentation was within the Southern European range. Almost every single person on my German side had that element: they were very un-Romanian in look as OP shows, whereas those you quoted look like Transylvanian Romanians

This means that some may have intermarried with Americans of various descence, hence maybe also Mexicans. That pic is cherrypicked from a number of photos out of which no other makes such an impression:

You're pretty unrelaxed, man.

That's somewhat surprising, considering that you yourself seemingly prefer not to be in your homeland but colonizing Canada.

It was a joke, but given that these "immigrants" worked Ukrainian serfs/peasants to death until they had an anarchist revolution to rebel against them thanks to Nestor Makhno, I think I have a right not to have the most favourable opinion of German settlers of that era.

It wasn't purposely cherry-picked, it's weird to accuse someone of that for posting one random picture mindlessly. I wasn't trying to make a point outside of the fact that most of these people can often look non-German due to mixing with natives. I literally just googled and chose the first picture I saw. I didn't even realize it was from a facebook page. But no, I doubt they mixed with Mexicans at all, just picked up Romanian types because those people look like a lot of Székelys. If you see Germans i.e. in Transylvania, many of them are clearly non-German looking.

As I said previously, you can't compare Germans that were in Transylvania for 800 years (Saxons) with those that came in Banat for 250 years. When I was a child (early teen) and went with my parents to Transylvania, I was shocked how Romanian German speakers looked like. Almost no difference... Quite a contrast with my family that looked unambiguously German despite the fact they had West Slavic blood too
