It's a good sample of Whites from Southern Cone. Argentines and Uruguayans look more Italian influenced, while Chileans are mostly Iberian, with some Central/North European admixture.

I agree,They all seem to be quite "whitewashed" But the thing about Chile is exaggerated if it is true that they are more European than most Latam countries but no joke, 80-90% White. In the case of Uruguay, it also seems strange to me that there is not at least Isn't a black/mulatto player supposed to be what they are? They are about 5-10% of the population? I have also noticed that many players look like Messi

And finally, about afro community in Uruguay is around 6% of the population, but it's quite "racially endogamic"... they usually live in specific regions or specifically neightbourhoods (like Barrio Sur and Palermo in Montevideo for example) and most of uruguayans don't have important % of african in their DNA (for example myself, I score between 0 and 0.2%, and I am half uruguayan). ;)

Exactly, the most of them belong to worker class...
And for any reason afro-uruguayans like a lot soccer, and in a way basketball and also voleyball, but rugby is off of their radar...
May be in the future could happen to see an afro-uruguayan playing rugby but it would always be an exception.
