He has worked with and supported Hamas for a number of years. Here is a question: who is marginally less nasty - Netanyahu or Erdogan?

On the other hand, as autocratic and corrupt as Erdogan doubtlessly is, he doesn't attack the Kurds in quite the same OTT manner that Netanyahu does to the Palestinians.

More generally, my attitude towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be summed up by paraphrasing Henry Kissinger: "it's a shame both sides cannot lose".

He never fails to disappoint you. At first, he was silent and made moderate statements. Now, he has decided to embrace his outspoken side.

To be honest, I don't know how Western media sees Turkey's struggle with the PKK, but I am sure his record on atrocities against civilians is much more clean than Netanyahu's. There was this unfortunate incidence: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roboski_massacre

Apart from this I don't remember an event where Kurdish civilians killed by Turkish armed forces.

The Roboski incident should be thoroughly investigated. That's not something the TAF would do. Hamas is a terrorist organization btw, but it doesn't excuse the atrocities that Israel has been committing.

The TAF mistook Kurdish smugglers as terrorists. The intention wasn't to bomb Kurdish civilians.


Hamas is a terrorist organization btw, but it doesn't excuse the atrocities that Israel has been committing.
