For those who study Education or already are teachers, and also for parents who chose a school for its specific methodology or who homeschooled their kids: which teaching/learning methods do you favor and why?

Here follow some examples.

the trivium (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trivium) and quadrivium (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadrivium)
were chosen for my son
because learning to read on my maternal grand-father's knee
(while his informal home-schooling was deeply influential)
led me to expect a future that never materialised (https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?4014-your-favorite-catalogues-and-how-to-get-one&p=200334&viewfull=1#post200334)

and led to my choice of the classics
of my own self-study in the libraries
on united states military-bases around the world

as the reading matter as my son sat on my knee.

we began by reading the great conversation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Conversation)
and then proceeded to a brief review
of ideas in western civilisation:

which prepared us for an introduction
to the great literature of western civilisation

https://i.imgur.com/VAxW4Gz.png (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gateway_to_the_Great_Books)

and eventually to that great literature

https://i.imgur.com/FKIDDEn.png (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Books_of_the_Western_World)

this introduction to philosophy

https://i.imgur.com/Czzucz9.png (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Story_of_Philosophy)

was followed by that author's history

as a result
my son has an applicable similē/metaphor/classical quote
for every conversation.

exemplī grātiā:

I understand your suggestion,
and i will keep it in mind for the future,

but i want to know what issues you have with the information
currently presented in the wiki, so it may be corrected.
my son's council
(as a valued member of the cohort
assisting the indexing of physical anthropology) was

my enthusiastic embrace of "the Herculean task
of cleaning that stable" was "destined to become
an endless Sisyphean labour" because

they had not integrated any of my initial simple suggestions
to begin solving the problem

and — now — admitting that requiring sources
was to be considered...in the future,

meant numerous random persons posting
as we attempted to correct all of the previous posts
(which had been calculated as a seventeen month project,
once our extant file-folders were prioritised
according to the search-frequency of each page on that wikia).

even viewing these videos educed a literary quote.

at the end,
my son intoned the amphibolic final sentence
from munro (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saki)'s extremely short tale of an open window (https://americanliterature.com/author/hh-munro-saki/short-story/the-open-window).

It is important to find a balance between different approaches,
taking into account the needs and characteristics of each child.
If a child doesn’t want to study, he won’t. You
need to take the initiative and do what he wants. For example,
I was constantly looking for finance homework help,
I found https://edubirdie.com/finance-homework-help for this. The key is to create a stimulating and supportive
learning environment where children can grow and develop.
Interest is the most important thing you can do to attract anyone.

I value project-based learning for its ability to stimulate creativity and independent thinking in children. In general, it is better to give a course and let the child complete it. There will be more benefits.
