What classic, or important (however you define the term) films have you seen on the big screen ie., at a cinema?

Here are the ones I've seen (for the purposes of my own definition, I will not include any film that is less than twenty years old, but please feel free to apply a different standard as per whatever criteria seems most meaningful to you). An asterisk ("*") denotes films in the first grouping, which I saw subsequent to its original cinematic release.

Gone With the Wind* (1939)
Bambi* (1942)
The Day the Earth Stood Still* (1951)
Rear Window* (1954)
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad* (1958)
2001: A Space Odyssey* (1968)

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Star Wars (1977)
Alien (1979)
Airplane! (1980)
Flash Gordon (1980)
The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
The Blues Brothers (1980)
Clash of the Titans (1981)
Quest for Fire (1981)
The Evil Dead (1981)
Time Bandits (1981)
Gandhi (1982)
Koyaanisqatsi (1982)
TRON (1982)
Krull (1983)
The Return of the Jedi (1983)
The Terminator (1984)
Re-Animator (1985)
Aliens (1986)
The Fly (1986)
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988)

I watched that on acid, during the late 1980s. It was a powerful film (or at least seemed so, under the influence of LSD).

It's a very powerful film none the less. I included it in the classics, because for that reason and it was shown across the cinemas in the world. To this day the film is liked by both Muslims and non-Muslims, so then I had to watch it, and see what the deal with it, and the production and dramatic effects were pretty great and the storyline was accurate. I would say it's a classic and a must watch.

A restored old theater in the state capital had a program that showed old movies during the summer when I was a kid, I can't remember anywhere near all of them. Some of the ones I remember:

Gone with the Wind
The Guns of Navaronne
Harvey the Rabbit
North by Northwest
Close Encounters of the Third Kind

I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey at a university showing...also saw the original Star Wars movies when they were re-released in the late 90s.

I saw it in 1983, when it was cinematically re-released for its 15th anniversary.
