There has always been a discourse that second child is usually taller than the first one and as far as I observed, it is correct for most families I know. Let me give you an example from my family. My older sister is the first child of my parents whereas I am the second one. I am 1.85 m (6 feet 1) tall, my sister is 1.68 m (5 feet 6) tall. If she was a male, she would be about 1.81 m (5 feet 11.5) tall, which is still shorter than my height. Is there any genetic explanation why second child of a family is usually taller than the first one?

By the way, my mother is 1.67 m (5 feet 5.5) and my father is 1.75 m (5 feet 9) tall.

Not always, except if you cut both legs of the first child.

my brother and I are of the same height. Sister is 174cm, so if she was a male, she would be also of the same height or even taller.
So no.
