I hope the filter match by ethnicity feature returns.

It's just an ethnicity calculation update from what I see.

Where does it say that the ethnicity estimates will receive an update ? Though I'm not complaining, hopefully my 5.7% Japanese and Korean turns into Central Asian instead.

With the 2 or 3 updates I've noticed there wasn't any change. Maybe different ethnicities irrelevant to me getting a better sample size and percentage?

Who knows? None of them are perfect.

Hopefully some detail in their calculations.

Like 23/me lumps Germany and France together. I figured DNA from Schwerin Germany would be easily differentiated than that from Nice France.

It is interesting how in a diverse place like the USA your parents found eatch other having german and hungarian ancestry in common as if someone matched them do any of you speak german or hungarian ?

I practice German and had family who would speak it still when I was a little kid. The grandma who was 100% Hungarian spoke some. A lot of it is the regions...in the US 99% people who are part Hungarian have family in Ohio or Pennsylvania. Both also huge German states and where you likely find a lot of Slovak, Czech, Serb, etc. ancestry.
