I just uploaded my 23andMe data to https://cladefinder.yseq.net/ and it gave me R-Z16540 instead of just the parent (that 23andMe gave me), R-Z16539. How reliable is this clade finder?

It’s usually accurate. You can also upload your raw dna in this website to compare results https://ytree.morleydna.com/extractFromAutosomal but the consensus is that cladefinder is more accurate as the one I provided is not updated but does it’s job for comparison

I'm getting the same result in Morley as I'm getting in yseq cladefinder so I guess it's accurate.
YSEQ result:
125131
Morley:
125132
125133
Morley seems to be even more precise.
My raw data was from myheritage by the way, its the only dna test I've taken so far.

Morley gave me R1b-CTS3655, which is less precise than 23andMe.

I did Big-y and realized that YSEQ is very accurate, while Morley leaves a lot to be desired... and I've seen it indicate many incorrect haplogroups.

on yfull I see https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Z16540/ is just one single level below https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Y12651/ (Z16539) (https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Y12651/), so why doubt it, it only went one step further, it should be accurate. the broader clad also looks like typically West Euro (Anglo-French)
