There definitely appears to be an East-West cline in the Balkans - the further East you go, the more Med/West Asian influences there are. Is it a gradual process, or are there any given neighbouring countries where this process is especially marked and abrupt?

Turkey and Bulgaria maybe.

I don't really think of Turkey as Balkans though, is it?

I think that Greeks and Albanians are not too similar looking despite genetic overlap.

Well only a small portion of it then. It is said that Albanians have a unique look that is not really replicated among any of its neighbours, is that right?

Over 12 million people live there which is more than in almost all Balkan countries individually.

And Albanians from Kosovo overlap a lot with south Slavs.

But not so much Albanians from Albania proper?

Albanians from Albania I am not familiar with but they possibly look more Meddish on average and closer to Greeks although I agree Albos and Greeks are distinct looking despite genetic overlap.

Not really in my view, there's a big overlap.

Not really.

Eastern Thrace is full of Turks from Bulgaria and Turks are majority some cities in Eastern Bulgaria. Apart from that we share much more with Bulgarians than Greeks.

He said countries, not regions.
