When I met him I thought he was Russian. It is an unusual phenotype for the place it lives.

Baltid + Med, although I'm guessing that it's some Amerindian component recapitulating Baltid as seen in many Italian Brazilians like Caroline Trentini and Michel Telo. But could pass in NE Italy (you will find a few Johannes Eggestein looking people in Veneto and Friulia btw).

From what he told me, there are no amerindians in his family. Wouldn't it be possible for him to be a West Alpinid + Keltic Nordid?

Is your friend of Slavic ancestry?

He just told me that he has Italian on family, he didn't give many details.

I see it as a West Alpinid + Keltic Nordid, I believe it makes more sense in this context.

Baltids exist all over Europe, Iberia and Italy arent the exception. All of the European sub-races do anyhow, its just the concentration that changes from country to country.
