They look like good looking people. When someone is mixed with Asian or Native, it's a lot less noticeable than black, that's for sure.

I think it's just luck of the draw how mixes turn out. I know a lot of Asian mixes and some do look very Asian. I also know people with an Asian grandparent who look completely European.

Also I think the people above are more likely to be not half Asian as they look possibly 25% and not 50/50. It is just that 50/50 mixes usually end up with darker eyes and hair. There are lots of Asian mixes here.

It's really luck of the draw. My mom looks the whitest of her siblings (imo she passes as white), my aunt and uncle look much more Asian. My cousin also looks much more Asian than me and my siblings, although I think that is because he is of direct Chinese descent, whereas me and my sisters all have European haplogroups.

Yeah like Italicus said it's a matter of luck I guess, I've seen some mexicans dna results with only being 25% Indigenous and rest Spanish that look completely European etc.

It really depends. My mom is white passing despite being half Chinese.

Isn't he that half Brit half Chinese guy who was upset that he was super short and was lacking in certain departments and went on a shooting spree in UCSD and killed a bunch of students? I hope he was put down forever. He was mad at his father for marrying a Chinese woman if i recall.

And your mom Is really 50-50? I mean I don't doubt this can be true. In my case for example I'm around 57 european to 60% depending on the calculator on g25 and gedmatch but I'm still brown as hell.

Yeah, she's 50 50. You don't look really brown, more like tanned.

They look very similar to many Kazakh and especially Kyrghiz: this mix is SUPER common there, but it's not 50-50, but more like 65-35.

Yeah, my mom's entire household is either Castizo looking or White Passing, my dad barely even looks Native American, or European, he just looks like that Iranid male face average from the humanphenotypes website (or like Steve Jobs when he had the big bushy beard), he's been greeted in Farsi and automatically assumed to be Iranian by other Iranians, yet one of my dad's sisters looks uber mestiza. Meanwhile I look harnizo, and my sister looks very Mestiza, we would never pass anywhere in Europe (well maybe I could in Balkans but as atypical).

I think me and MixdGuy are almost the same genetically in terms of Euro : Native ratio (he's harnizo) yet he looks way whiter than me. And then there's that sosa olo guy who used to be a member here who was like 85% Euro (so a strong castizo) and he looked less Euro than me (and less native as well, he basically looked like an Armenian with minor Native admixture). Genotype and Phenotype have a surprisingly inconsistent relationship.

Eh, even pure europeans can be quite brown occasionally (Catherine Zeta Jones, Sosie Bacon, Slavko Vranes). It's more about facial features rather than coloring, unless you're literally chocolate brown.

It's very interesting that SSA is much stronger than Native or Asian. If you're half black there's no way you can pass as white, whereas with Mongoloid anything could happen.
