Until last fall, for some reason, I didn't watch The Many Saints of Newark, even though I planned to watch it much earlier than that. I wish I hadn't watched because it was a big disgrace to the Sopranos' legacy. It was total garbage. I don't consider it a movie about Italian Americans and the mafia. It was just a black power thing, and David Chase used the Sopranos' name to sell this shit.

Now, I am hearing things about how woke True Detective's new season is. I haven't watched it yet, but now I feel like I have lost my appetite to watch it. Can't we watch something nowadays that is politics-free?

How beautiful True Detective's first season was! The buildup from the beginning to the end was superb. Cinematography, dialogues, atmosphere, and most importantly, it had no certain political agenda.

With very few exceptions, I only watch asian shows nowadays.

Wokeness has been underground since at least the 1960s. It didn't work back then but when colleges reintroduced it some 30 years ago, it slowly took root. When in the 1990s, most people would laugh at it and ironically mimic, it became a religion about 10 years ago slowly but surely. Now it's embedded in so much, like a bad bowevil. The only way to eliminate it, is to get folks to go back to church and read their Bibles and get married.

Before wokeness there was virtue signaling and political correctness caused by White guilt over having been first victorious over the Indians then overlords of the Blacks (some scenes of which are occasionally to be found in 50s movies, especially regarding the Indians), so, Indians got free casino money and Blacks got equal opportunity with police force jobs, judgeships, etc., but still Whitey was too successful for the communist professors who blamed him for ghettos and reservations, and told his impressionable youth that only socialism would equalize status among the races, but failed to mention that merit was not the chief prerequisite for achievement, but loyalty to the socialist party elite was, so now we're stuck with people who will burn down cities and murder to achieve their communist utopia.

There was a time when I never missed shows from the "Law And Order" franchise, but that time has passed. On a recent program, a White woman was raped by a Black man, and she refused to press charges against him because of her woke racial guilt. :picard2:

Yeah I hate waking up in the morning and getting out of my warm bed.

I haven't watched TV in years, I do like messing with people when they start talking about a TV character. I give them a serious old man look and start asking where this fella work and what is his mom/dad name.

Idk but I especially dislike like when people put wokeness in things where it doesn't even make sense and is obviously forced, but also when people completely transform great and beloved well-known movie/comic/book/TV show characters into someone different (and usually less fleshed out) than the original for the sake of being woke ):. I also dislike when they change the casting of a series for this purpose, I feel like it only rarely works out well. If you want to include characters of different backgrounds please make new well thought out characters that aren't just stereotypes of that group, and portray them well and don't force them into certain roles only lol.

I also really dislike the rise of social media virtue signallers, and in fact more times than not these virtue signallers I've found to be hypocritical and usually they are rich and privileged and not well informed on the things they advocate for, on top of not actually helping these causes in real life.

Also I understand some may disagree with me but please be respectful, thank you.
