They are brown or dark brown imo. But there are irises that have even higher amounts of melanin than yours. At least it is possible to distinguish your pupils from the irises through the incidence of light.

Real dark brown eyes look like this, but I would say they are black.

With direct light shining on half of your face one of your eyes is medium brown. We shouldn't judge the color of the one in shadow.

If you did a close up of one eye it would be easier so see the color(s).

Martin #1 is definitely the rarest normal eye color in a European context. Effectively pure brown eyes meant Martin #2-6. Outside of West Eurasian populations it is much more common, but even then dark to medium brown Martin #2-3 predominates. Thank you but i think medium brown is even a stretch, the pictures might be misleading or only in certain light, that is why they are misleading, they can look from a rich reddish brown...

like here (they look rich reddish brown, because i have the night modus on my phone, where it gives a light, i did that because it was night and otherwise you wouldnt see anything, the phone has a night modus)

The person themself has actually perceived their eyes as green for the entirety of their life… It’s some mix of green with blue and grey and some brown speckles. Personally, when I imagine hazel eyes, I see them similar to the second example I sent, just with a larger/more pronounced green ring.

I don't know what chestnut brown looks like so I googled it. Overall, I think Russet Brown is a better fit when in bright light.
