I really find interesting where does this Iranian comes from in Bulgarians, as you're not first Bulgarian with it that I saw. Also, the very high Anatolian.

My mother's ancestors were Greek, that emigrated in Bulgaria around the first years of 1900. Many people from Southern Bulgaria have at least one great-great grandfather who was Greek + the huge refugee waves during the Balkan and World wars... I guess that might be the reason for some of the Anatolian DNA.

Both. My mother's ancestors were proper Greek if that is what you ask me. If you are asking about the refugee waves: there were many Bulgarians from Greece and Turkey who fled to mainland Bulgaria. Also there were many proper Greek emigrants, who used the moment to run to Bulgaria.

I was just asking for your own case. Yes, I also seen some Greeks with ancestry from Turkey get something related to West Asia, but in their case I know they were not related to classical Greeks, I just had no idea Bulgarians lived in Turkey.

I also get 7% Iron Age Scandinavian even though I have no known German ancestor

*UPDATE*

I've just realized that my Periodic Ancerstry results have updated (no idea when). Weird part is I now have even worse fits and some periods, like Migration, for example, seem weirdly homologous. (see the beginning of the thread for my initial results)

in my mode america comp i get it with a little bit fit mixed pops but i think my result didnt was updated i always receive these sames ethnicities in 2 different raw data , fit in another one is 1.5, try to put global maybe will be better

I just tried america mode and my fit is actually better than with north africa selected. That's quite funny. My results don't seem to have changed either otherwise.
