My mother is 100% Spanish , 50/50 Extremadura and Andalucia
My dad's mothe ris 100% Welsh and his father is a mix of Cumbria and Ulster Scots.
I used to have the north Wales community which would be correct but it disappeared now I don't have any communities. 😭

I think for ancestry most Spanish get, french and Basque also.
I'd say I have allot from both culturally, I grew up in the UK but my mum wasn't going to let me be too British, also when you live surrounded by one thing I feel you tend to absorb and take pride in what makes you different.

Hi cool results I think they look around average for AncestryDNA results of someone of your background. The no communities is a bummer though a lot of Europeans seem to have lost communities in the recent update, It's at least good MyHeritage gave you at least 2. I'm curious if you have any other thoughts about them? Also having no Scottish is surprising given that Ancestry tends to over assign it.

I should have done the Ancestry DNA test back when it was credible. My procrastination has f'ed up my life in more ways than I can count!

How does one even go about obtaining this information about themselves?

I think since my Scottish is Ulster Scots it might have lumped it in with Irish, also it looks like I've inherited more from my dad's mum from the very high Welsh.

What happened to me with Ancestry is that I traveled to Barcelona to send the kit and when I got the results they gave me Wales, after I got the results I made the tree which coincided with an update of Ancestry and then when they saw that my tree was completely Andalusian they changed Wales to Scotland.
