Note also the degree of ethnic homogeneity (even in the photos from Cardiff and Swansea) that would be almost impossible to find now.

Well obviously then it was like that except for Brixton, Whitechapel or Bradford, Leicester, central Birmingham, even now it is much whiter than anywhere in inner London bar Chelsea and some select affluent areas.

Generally yes, although the inner areas of Cardiff and even increasingly Newport and Swansea are rapidly catching up, though it is true that it is still much whiter outside those neighbourhoods.

You notice it more in Cardiff because the communities are probably more concentrated, in a lot of inner London the White population is fairly evenly spread out except a few spots like Brixton.

Yes, but even Swansea and Newport are much less White than they used to be - even compared to a decade ago. Conversely, I was in Brixton a few months ago and it is whiter and more gentrified than its reputation suggests.
