Brittany is not the same as Irish and also they would definitely not be Gaelic as the Breton language is related to Cornish and Welsh and they are Brittonic languages and not Gaelic.

No Goidelic is what Gaels speak. Goidelic means Gaelic. You mean the Bretons spoke a Brythonic language. That's my point they didn't speak Gaelic or a Goidelic language. Breton is a Brythonic (or Brittonic same thing) language. It is related to Cornish and Welsh. The only populations that speak Goidelic languages are the Irish origin languages such as what Irish speak, Scottish Gaelic and Manx.
