Some kind of predominately CM, I don't know if I'd call it berid or brunn.

I agree, he looks like a Spanish ginger to me, and I don't think I'd ever mistake him for a Brit.

Gingers from Ireland and Britain give other gingers a bad name, the latter usually look 100x more attractive and human-like unlike the British Isles gingers.

Very true, he looks like a ginger Tomás Roncero (a well-known Spanish patriot).

No it isn't, I've seen more gingers in Spain like OP than Eastern Europe. Also, if that's how "as ginger" as you get, how do you explain more ginger people like him or Maria Castro? Having freckles doesn't make someone more ginger..

In the Balkans and Eastern Europe, except Central European countries, the Baltics and Finland, it is very rare to see redheads(less tha 1%). The only exception is the Urals, where there are even more redheads than in the British Islands even. Many Russians in Spain are redheads since they come from the Urals and there are many people of mixed descent.

rather auburn (brown with reddish undertones).

red hair is anyway native to SW Europe through Neanderthals and that jaw is home as well through Cro-Mags. a very local mix

While we carry genes from Neanderthals red hair didn't come from them.

But as is so often the case in science, the situation is far more complicated than most of us would have imagined. Red hair wasn’t inherited from Neanderthals at all. It now turns out they didn’t even carry the gene for it!

Red hair is a uniquely human feature, according to a new study by Michael Danneman and Janet Kelso of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and published in the The American Journal of Human Genetics.

Many Russians in Spain are redheads since they come from the Urals and there are many people of mixed descent.

Native Volga-Ural peoples are more frequently red-haired than typical ethnic Russians but with exception of Udmurts not as much as in the British Isles. East Slavs are typically 0.5% or less clear red Fischer #1-3. Karin Mark found 0.7% among Russian in the Volga-Ural region but this was likely due to individuals with partial Udmurt ancestry from rural Udmurtia (Igra). Mark found among non-Russians in the region it was generally greater than 0.5% and often 1-2%. Keep in mind the age range for her subjects extended to 60, so her figures for light hair could be higher with young adults only. In any case the incidence in Volga-Ural groups is at least as high as Central Europe and varying much higher.

This forum has always been obsessed with phenotype and pigmentation, more so than any non-anthrofora. Rufosity is an extension of this.

All hair colors are shades of brown anyway.
And eye colors possibly. I dunno about blue.

All hair colors are shades of brown anyway.
And eye colors possibly. I dunno about blue.

Hair pigmentation involves reddish-gold pheomelanin and brownish eumelanin. Human hair contains a mixture of both but black hair has only a minimal proportion of pheomelanin. Due to the pheomelanin most European (H.W. Siemens study of Munich schoolchildren) brunet hairs still have a rufous glint when examined under a microscope even if it is not typically visible.

Melanin, lipochrome, and collagen are all implicated in eye color, so there are multiple factors. The lack of melanin in the stroma allows for Rayleigh scattering which produces blue eyes.

In fact I think it's because most, if not all, are wogs here and wogs tend to be attracted to and post fair phenotypes.
