So, seeing the initial thread about these guys, I looked them up, contacted them (they were really kind and answered all my questions) and decided to do two reports with them. The first one - the Modern Report I'll show you now, and a second one - Dark Age report, for which I'm going to make a separate thread.

I should say the results seem pretty accurate for me, too. And logical for my family story - even the Greek component kind of corresponds to my great great-grandfather being Greek. Gave me an interesting insight on the MENA component in my DNA, too. It didn't quite catch the region I am from in Bulgaria, but let's say I have relatives in all those cities. Overall, nice service! They offer more stuff than what is listed on the site, so ask them about the full list, if you decide to purchase.

Your results are very accurate in terms of showing that you have 5% Greek ancestry. Even Turkey and Cyprus can indicate Greek ancestry. The question is, what about the 2% Russian?

Actually, the Russian is the only part I have no clue about. I had no Eastern European component on MyHeritage, but my parents score some, so maybe it just didn't show up. Or maybe it is misattributed, I don't know really. Maybe someone can give their opinion?

Methodology report they analyze your results and say what each component means , if one day you get your methodology report try to ask them about this component so they will explain in your methodology

Now i see that Nogay might be part of your Greek heritage or possibly Turkish, generally from your region. So real Russian is 1,4-1,6%. Or simply ancient slavic component.

I know that Humanitas interprets such percentages s very distant - even 10-15 generations ago. Similarly, big companies like Ancestry or MH claim they can trace back that many generations, which I find hard to understand, because 5 generations ago we inherit 3%, so how can it be 15?

Generally, I think this is a normal component in your case

Cool results.

I think your results are more accurate than your mother's.

I don't get why they included Circassians in European category.

Maybe because it is part of Russia? That's my guess at least. Aren't they technically European, too?

How do you order the report ?

Can you send raw data from FTDNA ?

How long untill you get the results ?

There is not much information on the website, Im guessing seems more like possibly its small group or an individual a independent operator eg somebody with some
geneology processing applications and sample base.

Im a bit reluctant because i tried with another Spanish small company a few years back and results were not great(broad and not accurate) and took a while to get the results.

So it's a proof that you inherited Russia from your mother. Your mother has 4.8% Slavic and you 1.6%.

You order by contacting them by email. I think they work with all kinds of RAW data and they are a group of several people. Their process time is up to 72 hours after they confirm your order, but I'd say it's something in the middle.

Interesting. That would mean that your father inherited more from the Greek line. Although, I think in this case such a high percentage indicates a significant genetic similarity between Bulgaria and Greece.

Well, I am not sure but if I am not wrong they cluster with other Caucasian folks.

Well, I am not sure but if I am not wrong they cluster with other Caucasian folks.

They specifically cluster with other North Caucasians:

Distance to: Circassian
0.01040249 Karachay
0.01128161 Balkar
0.01183863 Cherkes
0.01265301 Kabardin
0.01651876 Abazin
0.02099734 Adygei
0.02166445 North_Ossetian
0.02361064 Ingushian
0.02560065 Kumyk

They include Turkey as the Near East in their reports. I think labeling is based on geography, not genetic relationships. Though, I'm not sure why they put Caucasus into the Europe category.
