The Huns were a nomadic people who lived in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Eastern Europe between the 4th and 6th centuries AD. According to European tradition, they were first reported living east of the Volga River, in an area that was part of Scythia at the time. By 370 AD, the Huns had arrived on the Volga, causing the westwards movement of Goths and Alan's. By 430, they had established a vast, but short-lived, empire on the Danubian frontier of the Roman empire in Europe. Either under Hunnic hegemony, or fleeing from it, several central and eastern European peoples established kingdoms in the region.

Y-DNA: R-YP5505 (https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-YP5505/), Q-YP832 (https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-YP832/), Q-YP4500 (https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-YP4500/), R-Y84684 (https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Y84684/)
The Hunnic Y-DNA is entirely of Oghuric origin; none of it can be ascribed to NE or East Asian origin. Volga Tatars and Magyar Conquerors are also found in the first three clades, given that both derive from Oghuric tribes that moved from Old Great Bulgaria to Volga-Urals.

The NE Asian base of the Huns may have lived in central-south Mongolia, where they picked the Tibetan ancestry.

Would've figured that by the time they got to Europe many of them were more diluted with Scytho-Sarmatian, Slavic, and Germanic peoples, but I guess these samples were from the elites.

Artificial cranial deformation or modification, head flattening, or head binding is a form of body alteration in which the skull of a human being is deformed intentionally. It is done by distorting the normal growth of a child's skull by applying force. Flat shapes, elongated ones (produced by binding between two pieces of wood), rounded ones (binding in cloth), and conical ones are among those chosen or valued in various cultures.
In the Pontic steppe and the rest of Europe the Huns, including the Proto-Bulgarians, are also known to have practised similar cranial deformation, as were the people known as the Alans.
