The study analyzed the ancient DNA of George Bähr, the architect of the Dresden Frauenkirche, using modern genetic methods to uncover his genetic origins and phenotypic traits. The results showed that Bähr had light skin and brown eyes, with Central European ancestry. His paternal haplogroup was R1b1a2a1a2-P312, and his maternal haplogroup was H35. He was lactose-tolerant and had several genetic markers associated with diseases like type 2 diabetes and coronary artery disease. These findings confirm the authenticity of his remains and provide new insights into his genetic profile.

This is often the case when we try to integrate too many populations, including populations from the Caucasus, instead of remaining focused on Europe.

We lose a lot of nuance, of data, when we do this kind of thing.
